Biomass Boilers & Stoves |
The most straightforward way to recover energy from dry biomass fuels, such as logs and pellets, is by combustion to provide heating or hot water. A biomass boiler or stove is one that burns plant matter to generate heat for central heating and hot water.
These range in size from simple log fires and stoves, to sophisticated wood or straw fuelled boiler systems with automatic fuel handling and control systems for complete heating and hot water control.
Biomass is considered low/zero carbon because the CO2 released when it is burned is the same as the CO2 which is ‘captured’ during the growth of the material leaving a balanced cycle.
For metered, domestic and commercial systems the Renewable Heat Incentive will be introduced in July 2011.
Our Treadlighter Plus™ energy survey includes a detailed suitability assessment leading to system design, specification and a complete installation, commissioning and certification service.
