If your central heating boiler is more than a five years old, it is unlikely to be an efficient ‘condensing’ boiler.
These modern boilers are more than 90% efficient in converting the gas you pay for into useful heat. Old floor standing or wall mounted boilers can be only 60% efficient so replacing one for a new “A” rated boiler will use 50% less gas thereby saving you a significant amount of money in annual running costs.
