This large and busy 24/7 office building is home to the NHS Trust South Central Ambulance Service and Health Education England, Wessex.

As part of car park extension works and to reflect the increase in EV and PHEV vehicles the landlord commissioned us to install 18 EV chargepoints to the new expanded section of the car park.

A new supply and metering from the on-site sub-station was provided by UKPN and with new distribution cabinets at each end, a 160m supply and data cable buried to serve the intelligent ‘Genius’ chargers.

Post mounted in pairs, 18 cars can charge simultaneously with further cabling in position to cater for future charger expansion.

Operating the chargers is straightforward. Bay-side signage provides full instructions with users downloading the app, signing up, entering their card payment details and plugging in.

The system’s back end provides usage and billing information in real time to the Landlord along with monitoring functionality to ensure continued operation.
