Apex House, Student Accommodation, Wembley

Project Outline

Working with Red Electric Designs Ltd we designed and installed a 35.28 kWp Solar PV system to this high quality new Student Accommodation building situated within the extensive Wembley Park development area.

As a highly efficient building, Apex House is designed to achieve a reduction in CO2 of 40% over the target emission rate defined in Building Regulations 2010 Part L2A.

To ensure compliance and maximise generation for the on-going benefit of the owners, to minimise shading and hence loss of generation from the high parapet and adjacent tower block, we designed a bespoke mounting system that raised the whole system 1.3m off the plane of the roof surface.

The PV system generates 16,825 kWh of electricity per annum saving 8.7t CO2 pa.
