Summit Centre, Herts

Project Outline

The Summit Centre is a large warehouse and office building situated in Hertfordshire just north of Greater London.

Commissioned by the landlord, Riohurst Investments, we carried out a detailed energy assessment of the building with a view to establishing if its energy efficiency rating would comply with the Energy Efficiency Regulations England & Wales which came into force on 1.4.2018.

A change in tenant allowed recommended energy efficiency improvements to be made to the building featuring, a new insulated trapezoidal roof and the installation of a 50.0 kWp Solar PV system to generate 43,700 kWh per annum.

The result enabled the building to achieve a D Rated EPC thereby ensuring full compliance with the forthcoming regulations and protecting the Landlord’s asset value.

The building now off-sets 19.5t CO2 per annum and with internet-based monitoring, quarterly meter readings can taken remotely.
